Location good for me. Service was as expected, quick and easy.
Have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years with my family during nay half term. Unfortunately I will not be returning. Upon leaving my room yesterday morning and stupidly leaving my silver pandora bracelet in the bedside table it has now mysteriously vanished. Staff past me from one member to another told me to email when I get home if I find it. I have assured the staff team that I have not got it and it has vanished after the room was serviced. This has been a very unpleasant experience for me and my family as it was expensive and very sentimental. I was told they trust their staff and to fill a feed back form in. I cannot believe the way this has been dealt with I have a vey upset teenager who has no bracelet and been given a pen and feed back firm and told to be careful what I say as this is a serious accusation. I already know how serious it is thank you as I have now got no bracelet which has cost £450.00.
The room was attractive, clean and comfortable. Good view from the window. Lovely breakfasts and dining room. Lovely bar area. Friendly staff, good location that was close to transport and easy to access all areas of London.
A bit warm air conditioning sometimes but we opened the window.
Friendly staff, good breakfast.
Room was a bit warm; we opened the window to adjust.
I stayed here 6 years ago and loved it so no hesitation booking again. Great position, accessible to transport, trains, busses and underground. Helpful staff, excellent breakfast and the Indian restaurant in the evening great food and value for money. Also love the park over the road to chill after a hectic day out and about. Loved watching the squirrels too. Lots of history in Tavistock Square. Bowling alley and pizza bar underneath from side entrance.
One night we had a meal in the bar. I had steak, a bit tough. My husband had fish and chips and he rarely complains but he said it was rubbish. Cold when it came and fish was strong tasting and not enjoyable. Staff member tried to make amends, offered another but it had put him off.
Antiquated shower (room 345).
Clean, quiet with a very pleasant reception staff.
